Our February workday will take place on Sunday 15th February.
Somewhat appropriately for the Valentine’s weekend, work will be focused in the ‘V-cut ditch’ which is just outside of the Drop Redoubt fort.
The nature of the work on this workday will mostly be vegetation clearance to maintain the preservation of historic structures and keep the area clean and tidy and accessible. We will be clearing the ditch of overgrowth and disposing of the waste with a bonfire.
Please meet us at Drop Redoubt Road at 10:30 for a safety briefing and assignment of tasks. As ever all PPE and tools will be provided, but please ensure you wear appropriate safe footwear and dress warm as it is still quite cold.
Parking: Parking is limited on Drop Redoubt Road, but additional parking is available at St Martin’s Battery car park (3 min walk).
