We were proud to host Engineering students from East Kent College at the Grand Shaft on 12th November who carried out exceptional work of cleaning and maintenance of the Grand Shaft site.
Tasks completed on the day included:
– Rubbing down and preparing railings ready for future painting
– Gathering and removing leaf matter
– Sweeping of staircases, paths and entrance
– Cutting the grass
– Rubbish removal
Enormous thanks to all the volunteer students on the day, who brought youthful enthusiasm and fun to all the tasks that needed attention.
As a voluntary organisation we deeply appreciate all help offered and we hope the students enjoyed their day with us as much as we enjoyed having them!
